AN ACT concerning
Anne Arundel County — Alcoholic Beverages
(Salary Expenses of Part-Time Inspectors)
FOR the purpose of altering the salary expense allowance
of part-time alcoholic beverage inspectors in Anne
Arundel County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 158(d) (2) of Article 2B -
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

(d) In Anne Arundel County
(2) In addition to the powers given to the
board of license commissioners for Anne Arundel County
in subsections (a) and (b) of this section, the board is
authorized to employ one part—time chief inspector at an
annual salary of $4,100, and eight part—time inspectors
at an annual salary of [$2,300] $2,800 each. In
addition to the above-mentioned salary, each of the
inspectors shall be reimbursed for travel expenses
reasonably incurred by them, UP TO RECEIVE A MONTHLY
EXPENSE OF $125 PER MONTH, subject to the approval of the
State Comptroller. The nine inspectors so appointed for
Anne Arundel County have all the powers of a peace
officer or a constable or sheriff of the State of
Maryland, and shall make oath to faithfully perform the
duties entrusted to them, as provided in Article 1, § 6
