AN ACT concerning
Motor Vehicle Revenues
FOR the purpose of requiring the Comptroller to pay from
money remitted to him under the Maryland Vehicle Law
the salaries and expenses of the Maryland State
Police in enforcing the laws relating to the
inspection of used vehicles and warnings for
defective equipment and in enforcing the noise
abatement laws.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 12-118(b) of Article -
Transportation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As
enacted by Chapter____of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1977) be and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows;
Article - Transportation
12-118.
(b) Out of the money remitted to the State
Comptroller under the Maryland Vehicle Law, the State
Comptroller shall:
(1) Pay or retain enough to pay:
(i) All refunds of taxes or fees
provided for in the Maryland Vehicle Law;
(ii) The principal of and interest on
bonds authorized by the General Assembly before July 1,
1971, to be issued to pay the cost of capital
improvements for the administration;

(iii) The salaries and other expenses of
the State Highway Administration in enforcing title 24 of
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
