SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section Sections 2-108(i) , (p), and (r)
of Article - Estates and Trusts, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
Article — Estates and Trusts
2-108.
(i) Each of the judges of the court for Cecil
County shall receive an annual compensation of [$1,200]
$2,0 80. Each judge shall also receive an allowance for
traveling expenses of [$250] $520 annually, to be paid
quarterly by the County Commissioners.
(p) [The chief Judge of the court for Kent County
shall receive as his sole compensation, with no
additional allowance for expenses, the sum of $25 for
every day's attendance upon the sessions of the court.
Each associate judge shall receive as his sole
compensation, with no additional allowance for expenses,
the sum of $22.50 for every day's attendance upon the
sessions of the court.] EACH OF THE JUDGES OF THE COURT
FOR KENT COUNTY SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF
$2,080. EACH JUDGE SHALL ALSO RECEIVE AN ALLOWANCE FOR
TRAVELING EXPENSES OF $520 ANNUALLY, TO BE PAID QUARTERLY
BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
(r) Each of the judges of the court for Queen
Anne's County shall receive [the sum of $15 for every
day's attendance upon the sessions of the court. The
judges shall also receive an allowance for traveling
expenses of $750 annually.] AN ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF
$2,080. EACH JUDGE SHALL ALSO RECEIVE AN ALLOWANCE FOR
TRAVELING EXPENSES OF $520 ANNUALLY, TO BE PAID QUARTERLY
BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salaries
of the Orphans' Court Judges in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salaries of the Orphans' Court Judges
shall take effect at the beginning of the next following
term of office.
