(A) POWER TO ADOPT AND ENFORCE.
AFTER HOLDING A PUBLIC HEARING, THE GOVERNING BODY
OF ANY PUBLICLY OWNED AIRPORT IN THIS STATE MAY ADOPT AND
ENFORCE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR:

|
|
|
|
(1) THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES AT THE
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
AIRPORT;
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(2) THE MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC AT THE AIRPORT;
(3) SAFETY AT THE AIRPORT; AND
(4) THE PRESERVATION OF ORDER AT THE AIRPORT.
(B) POSTING.
ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS SECTION
SHALL BE POSTED CONSPICUOUSLY IN A PUBLIC PLACE AT THE
AIRPORT.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the first sentence and the last clause of the
second sentence of Art. 1A, §7-704(a).
In subsection (a) of this section, the present
express reference to the power to "amend" the
rules and regulations is deleted as
unnecessary since that power is implicit in
the power to "adopt" them.
The only other changes are in style.
5-427. PENALTIES.
(A) PARKING REGULATIONS.
ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES A PARKING REGULATION ADOPTED
AND POSTED UNDER §5-426 OF THIS SUBTITLE IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT
EXCEEDING $15 $50. A VIOLATION OF A PARKING REGULATION
IS NOT A MISDEMEANOR.
(B) RULES AND REGULATIONS GENERALLY.
ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY OTHER RULE OR REGULATION
ADOPTED AND POSTED UNDER §5-426 OF THIS SUBTITLE IS
GUILTY Of A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A
PINS NOT EXCEEDING $100 OR IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING 3
MONTHS OR BOTH. $500.

the first two clauses of the last sentence of
Art. 1A, §7-704(a).
The present reference to the "court of the
jurisdiction in which the airport is located"
