AN ACT concerning
Pensions - Death Benefits
FOR the purpose of providing a death benefit for certain
members who die in the course of the actual
performance of duty while having less than one year
of creditable service; and correcting an error.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 11(9)(a)(ii) of Article 73B -
Pensions, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

death of a member in service, and provided that no
benefit is payable under the provisions of § 11(11)(b) of
