As to deletion of the present reference to
employees "first employed after said transfer
of title", see revisor's note to §5—413(a) of
this title.
5-213. CONTRACTS - IN GENERAL.
(A) POWER OF ADMINISTRATION TO CONTRACT.
THE ADMINISTRATION MAY MAKE ANY CONTRACT NECESSARY
FOR OR INCIDENTAL TO THE PERFORMANCE OF ITS DUTIES AND
THE EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER THIS TITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
derived without substantive change from the
first sentence of Art. 1A, §5-504 (a), and
revised to conform to the like provisions of
§6-206 of this title.
As to contracts for architectural and
engineering services, see, also, Title 2,
Subtitle 3 of this article.
(B) GOVERNING LAM.
NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF STATE LAW, IF
THE PLANNING, ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT,
MAINTENANCE, OR OPERATION OF ANY AIRPORT FACILITY IS
FINANCED WITH FEDERAL MONEY, THE ADMINISTRATION MAY
CONTRACT AS REQUIRED BY THE FEDERAL AUTHORITIES ACTING
UNDER FEDERAL LAW.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
derived without substantive change from the
second sentence of Art. 1A, §5-504 (a).
The first clause of the present sentence,
which requires that contracts be made
"pursuant to the laws of the State governing
... like contracts", is deleted as unnecessary
since it merely restates the obvious.
Also, the present reference to "laws of the
United States and any rules and regulations
made thereunder" is deleted as unnecessary
since they are encompassed within the
substituted, general reference to "federal
law".
5-214. CONTRACTS - BIDDING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS.
(A) EXCEPTIONS.
THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO CONTRACTS FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OR THE SERVICES OF EMPLOYEES.
