(F) (1) IN WORCESTER COUNTY, AN ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE LICENSE, EXCEPT A CLASS B, BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR
LICENSE, MAY NOT BE ISSUED TO A CORPORATION UNLESS ONE OF
THE APPLICANTS HAS BEEN A REGISTERED VOTER, A TAXPAYER
AND A RESIDENT OF WORCESTER COUNTY AND OWNS AT LEAST 10
PERCENT OF THE TOTAL ISSUED CAPITAL STOCK OF THE
CORPORATION. (2) ANY LICENSEHOLDER HOLDING A LICENSE
ISSUED PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT MAY 1,
1977 IS EXEMPT FROM THIS SUBSECTION. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage. Approved April 12, 1977.
CHAPTER 148 (House Bill 1729) AN ACT concerning Montgomery County — Board of Education Membership MC 126-77 FOR the purpose of adding a nonvoting student member to
the Board of Education of Montgomery County; and
relating generally to a student member on the Board
of Education of Montgomery County. BY adding to Article 77 — Public Education Section 36 (h) Annotated Code of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 36(h) be and it is hereby
added to Article 77 — Public Education, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1976
Supplement) to read as follows: Article 77 - Public Education 36.
(H) (1) IN ADDITION TO THE SEVEN ELECTED MEMBERS
