AN ACT concerning
Frederick County - Roads and Public Grounds
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners
of Frederick County to change the name of streets
and roads in the County, and to assign street or
road address numbers to structures along County
roads or streets under specified conditions.

(1959 Edition, as supplemented to December 197 5, as
amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 13-13A be and it is hereby
added to the Public Local Laws of Frederick County being
Article 11 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1959
Edition, as supplemented to December 1975, as amended) to
read as follows;
Article 11
13-13A.
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY CHANGE THE NAME OF
STREETS AND ROADS IN THE COUNTY, MAY ASSIGN STREET OR
ROAD ADDRESS NUMBERS TO STRUCTURES ALONG COUNTY ROADS OR
STREETS, AND MAY ADOPT ORDINANCES OR REGULATIONS
CONCERNING THEM IN THEIR SOLE DISCRETION, AFTER NOTICE OF
CHANGE HAS BEEN ADVERTISED AND A PUBLIC HEARING HAS BEEN
HELD ON THE PROPOSED CHANGE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
