AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - Lease of Real Property
FOR the purpose of granting authority to the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County to lease real
property belonging to the county to certain
organizations, in lieu of sale of the property;
relating generally to the power to lease the
property; and clarifying language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 9 of Article 25 - County
Commissioners, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
9.
(A) The County Commissioners of Dorchester County,
in addition to, but not in substitution of, the powers
which may have been or may hereafter be granted them,
shall have the full power and authority to acquire by
lease, purchase, or condemnation, real or leasehold
property needed for any public purpose, and to erect
buildings thereon for the benefit of the county, and to
