AN ACT concerning
Equal Credit Opportunity - Discriminatory Practices
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person engaged in the
extension of credit from refusing to consider both a
husband's and a wife's income when both parties of
the marriage apply to that person for a joint
account,
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

(1975 Volume and 1976 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 12-705(1) of Article - Commercial
Law, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975 Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article - Commercial Law
12-705.
Prohibited discriminatory practices include any:
(1) Refusal to consider [a wife's] BOTH
APPLICANTS' income when both parties of a marriage party
apply for a joint account;
