LAWS OF MARYLAND
Title 11 of this article as to the Maryland
Vehicle Law. As to State Aviation Administration Police,
see §5—212 of this title. (L) STRUCTURE. "STRUCTURE" MEANS ANY OBJECT CONSTRUCTED OR PLACED
ON OR ABOVE THE GROUND, INCLUDING ANY BUILDING, FENCE,
DERRICK, HAYSTACK, POLE, HIRE, TOWER, OR SMOKESTACK. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 1A, §1-122. The present phrase "but without limitation" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the
definition of "including" in §1—101 of this
article, The only other changes are in style. REVISOR'S NOTE TO SECTION: In revising this section,
the Commission to Revise the Annotated Code
deleted present Art. 1A, §§ 1-117 and 1-120,
which define "person" and "Secretary",
respectively, as unnecessary in light of the
similar definitions appearing in §1—101 of
this article. Present Art. 1A, §1-111, which defines "air
school" is transferred to Subtitle 9 of this
title. Present Art. 1A, §1-104, which defines
"aeronautics instructor", is deleted as
unnecessary; in this regard, see revisor's
notes to §§5-901 and 5-902 of this title. Present Art. 1A, §1—107, which defines
"airman", is deleted as unnecessary. The only
significant use of the term in the present law
was in former Art. 1A, §6-602; that section
was amended substantially by Ch. 190, Acts of
1976, and no longer employs the term. Present Art. 1A, §1-106, which defines "air
carrier" also is deleted as unnecessary. The
term is used only in present Art. 1A, §1—109
(now subsection (h) of this section); as there
used, no definition is needed nor is the
present definition at all helpful. Present Art. 1A, §1—113, which defines
"municipality", is deleted as unnecessary and
misleading. As used throughout this title,
the term is intended to refer to a municipal
corporation organized under Article 11E of the
State Constitution and Art. 23A of the Code.
Accordingly, in this title, the term
