(House Bill 454)
AN ACT concerning
Election Code — Duties of Boards
FOR the purpose of requiring the local boards of election
to file with the State Administrative Board of
Election Laws copies of any rules and regulations
adopted by the local board; requiring the local
boards to provide reports of registration and other
data as may be required by the State Board;
requiring the local boards to retain certain records
for a period of five years and thereafter to
transfer such records to either the State Board for
delivery to the Hall of Records or to a local
historical depository; requiring certain records to
remain open for inspection, authorizing their
microfilming by the local boards, and requiring the
transmittal of the original records to the State
Board at certain times; and generally relating to
the duty of the local election boards to file
certain records and regulations with the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws at certain
times.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 2-9(b), 3-9A, and 3-14(b) of
Article 33 - Election Code, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
