CHAPTER 65

AN ACT concerning
Howard County - Orphans' Court Judges' Salaries
FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the judges of
the Orphans' Court of Howard County; and providing a
salary for the Chief Judge of that Court.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-108(o) of Article - Estates and
Trusts, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article — Estates and Trusts
2-108.
(o) Each judge of the court for Howard County
shall receive an annual compensation of [$2,000] $3,000
to be paid monthly. THE SALARY OF THE CHIEF JUDGE IS
$3,500. Each judge shall also receive an expense
allowance, in addition, up to $50 per month, for personal
expenses incidental to his duties, to be paid by the
treasurer of Howard County each month upon presentation
of an itemized voucher.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
