Corrective Bill
County Commissioners — Washington County
FOR the purpose of correcting technical errors in the
laws relating to County Commissioners in Washington
County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 25 - County Commissioners
Section 3(g), (i), (n), (r), (t), (u), (v), (y), and
(aa)

Preamble
WHEREAS, On April 13, 1976, the Governor signed
Chapter 211, relating to the enumerated powers of
Washington County.
The bill extends the powers of the County
Commissioners of Washington County to include all powers
enumerated in Article 25, § 3 by amending subsection (a)
of that section. Throughout the remaining subsections,
numerous express references to Washington County appear,
since previously the Commissioners had only those powers
expressly granted to them.
For clarity, the references to Washington County
should be deleted; now therefore
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 3(g), (i), (n) , (r) , (t) , (u) ,
(v), (y), and (aa) of Article 25 - County Commissioners,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement
Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
