(1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
Article - Natural Resources
4-807.
(d) (1) [Every person who applies] EACH
APPLICANT for a crab packer's or shipper's license shall
complete an application form showing his full name,
social security number, age, and residence[,] and shall
certify that the facts set forth in the completed
application form are true[,] and that he shall submit to
the Department every record or other information the
Department requires by rule or regulation.
(2) A LICENSEE MAY RENEW A CRAB PACKER'S OR
SHIPPER'S LICENSE BY COMPLETING THE FORM THAT THE
DEPARTMENT PROVIDES AND CERTIFYING THAT THE FACTS SET
FORTH IN THE COMPLETED FORM ARE TRUE.
(f) Upon receipt of the required fee, the
Department or the court clerk shall give the applicant a
duplicate copy of the application, which serves as a
temporary license for 15 days to pack or ship crabs OR,
IN THE CASE OF A RENEWAL LICENSE, THE DEPARTMENT OR COURT
CLERK MAY ISSUE THE LICENSE. [After issuing] WITHIN 48
HOURS AFTER A COURT CLERK ISSUES the temporary license OR
RENEWAL LICENSE, the court clerk shall forward[, within
48 hours,] the original copy of the application to the
Department. [The Department, by] IF A LICENSE IS MAILED,
IT SHALL BE SENT first class mail[, shall send the
license to the applicant]. The court clerk shall forward
monthly to the Department the fees received from
applicants for deposit to the credit of the Fisheries
Research and Development Fund.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
