(2) A LICENSEE MAY RENEW A COMMERCIAL
CRABBING LICENSE BY COMPLETING THE FORM THAT THE
DEPARTMENT PROVIDES AND CERTIFYING THAT THE FACTS SET
FORTH IN THE COMPLETED FORM ARE TRUE.
(c) Upon receipt of the required fee, the
Department or the court clerk shall give the applicant a
duplicate copy of the application, which serves as a
temporary license for 15 days to catch crabs, OR, IN THE
CASE OF A RENEWAL LICENSE, THE DEPARTMENT OR COURT CLERK
SHALL ISSUE THE LICENSE. [After issuing] WITHIN 48 HOURS
AFTER A COURT CLERK ISSUES the temporary license OR
RENEWAL LICENSE, the [court] cleric shall forward[, within
48 hours,] the original copy of the application to the
Department. [The Department,] IF A LICENSE IS MAILED, IT
SHALL BE SENT by first-class mail[, shall send the
license to the applicant]. The court clerk shall forward
monthly to the Department the fees received from
applicants for deposit to the credit of the Fisheries
Research and Development Fund.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 10-301(f) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
