(A) IN GENERAL.
IF A PERSON FINED UNDER THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW
DOES NOT PAY THE FINE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COURT'S
DIRECTIVE;
(1) THE COURT MAY SO CERTIFY TO THE
ADMINISTRATION; AND
(2) ON SUCH CERTIFICATION, AFTER GIVING THE
PERSON 10 DAYS ADVANCE WRITTEN NOTICE, THE
ADMINISTRATION MAY SUSPEND THE DRIVING PRIVILEGES OR
LICENSE OF THE PERSON UNTIL THE FINE HAS BEEN PAID.
(B) PROCEDURES.
WITH THE COOPERATION OF THE DISTRICT COURT, THE
ADMINISTRATION SHALL DEVELOP PROCEDURES TO CARRY OUT THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION.

27-104. REIMBURSEMENT OF FORFEITED BOND OR COLLATERAL.
(A) DEFENDANT ACQUITTED.
THE STATE COMPTROLLER SHALL REIMBURSE A DEFENDANT
FOR ANY FORFEITED BOND OR COLLATERAL THAT HAS BEEN
RECEIVED BY THE COMPTROLLER AFTER A DISTRICT COURT JUDGE
HAS STRICKEN OUT THE FORFEITURE, IF THE DEFENDANT IS
FOUND NOT GUILTY OF THE OFFENSE CHARGED.
(B) DEFENDANT CONVICTED.
IF THE DEFENDANT IS FOUND GUILTY OF THE OFFENSE
CHARGED, BUT HIS FINE IS LESS THAN THE AMOUNT OF THE
FORFEITED BOND OR COLLATERAL, THE STATE COMPTROLLER SHALL
REIMBURSE THE DEFENDANT FOR ANY AMOUNT RECEIVED BY THE
COMPTROLLER THAT IS IN EXCESS OF THE FINE.

27-10 5. PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN WEIGHT VIOLATIONS.
(A) GENERAL RULE SCOPE OF SECTION.
(1) THIS SECTION APPLIES TO ANY PERSON
CHARGED WITH A VIOLATION OF THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW FOR
EXCEEDING, AS TO ANY VEHICLE OR COMBINATION OF VEHICLES:
(I) THE MAXIMUM REGISTERED WEIGHT
