effective date of Ch. 495, Acts of 1974, which
enacted this provision. The only other changes are in style. (D) RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE AUTHORITY. THE AUTHORITY SHALL ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING THE OPERATION AND CONDUCT OF THE TOLL
FACILITIES POLICE FORCE AND OF TOLL FACILITIES POLICE
OFFICERS. THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS SHALL BE
CONSISTENT WITH THE STANDARDS ESTABLISHED BY THE
SECRETARY. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
the third sentence of Art. 41, §208C(d)(3). The only changes are in style. The last sentence of present Art. 41,
§208C(d) (3), which requires observance and
compliance with these rules and regulations,
is deleted as unnecessary since that
requirement is implicit in the power to adopt
rules and regulations. 4-209. CONTINUATION AND CHANGE OF RULES, FORMS, ORDERS,
AND DIRECTIVES; CERTAIN REFERENCES TO MARYLAND PORT
AUTHORITY OR STATE ROADS COMMISSION. A3 TO REVENUE BONDS, INCLUDING REVENUE BONDS OF
PRIOR ISSUES, AND TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES PROJECTS:
(1)    EVERY RESOLUTION, RULE, REGULATION, FORM,
ORDER, AND DIRECTIVE ADOPTED BY OR RELATING TO THE STATE
ROADS COMMISSION REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL CHANGED BY THE
MARYLAND TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY; AND (2)    EVERY REFERENCE IN THIS CODE, ANY OTHER LAW,
ORDINANCE, RESOLUTION, RULE, REGULATION, ORDER,
DIRECTIVE, LEGAL ACTION, CONTRACT, OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT
TO THE STATE ROADS COMMISSION MEANS THE MARYLAND
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added
without substantive change to conform to
similar provisions appearing in this article
as to various Departmental units that have
succeeded to the powers of former agencies
(cf. e.g., §§ 6-213 and 7—212 of this article;
see, also, §3—102 of this article). It is based on and supported in substance by:
(1) the provisions transferring authority over
all transportation-related revenue bond
financing to the Maryland Transportation
Authority, as formerly contained in Art. 94A,
