(F) INSPECTION STATION.
"INSPECTION STATION" MEANS A FACILITY THAT IS
LICENSED BY THE DIVISION UNDER THIS TITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §13-101(3).
The defined term "inspection station" is
substituted for "approved facility" to conform
to current nomenclature adopted by the
Administration. Cf., e.g., present Art. 66
1/2, §13-108(f), which uses the term
"inspection station", and Regulation
11.02.11.01, which adopts and defines the term
"authorized inspection station".
The word "facility", which is defined in
subsection (d) of this section, is substituted
for the present checklist of eligible
entities.
The only other changes are in style.
(G) REPAIR ORDER CERTIFICATION.
"REPAIR ORDER CERTIFICATION" MEANS A WRITTEN
CERTIFICATION BY AN INSPECTION STATION OR POLICE
DEPARTMENT THAT:
(1) CERTIFIES THAT, AS OF ITS DATE, THE
EQUIPMENT SPECIFIED IN A SAFETY EQUIPMENT REPAIR ORDER
MEETS OR EXCEEDS THE STANDARDS ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS
TITLE; AND
(2) IS SIGNED AND DATED:
(I) ON BEHALF OF THE INSPECTION STATION BY
THE REGISTERED INDIVIDUAL WHO PERSONALLY INSPECTED THE
VEHICLE; OR
(II) ON BEHALF OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BY
THE AUTHORIZED POLICE EMPLOYEE WHO PERSONALLY INSPECTED
THE VEHICLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added without substantive change to clarify
the present reference in Art. 66 1/2,
§13—104(a). to "verification by an approved
facility, signed and dated as required for a
certificate". It is patterned after the
definition of "inspection certificate" in
subsection (e) of this section.
The term "repair order certification" is
adopted to conform more closely to the
nomenclature currently used by the
