REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the second
through the sixth sentences of Art. 41,
§208C(a).
In subsection (c) (1) of this section, new
language is added to indicate that a member
serves until his successor takes office. This
conforms to similar provisions that appear
elsewhere in the Code.
In subsection (d) of this section, the
reference to the "Department of Personnel" is
added for clarity.
4-203. STAFF OF AUTHORITY.
(A) IN GENERAL.
THE AUTHORITY IS ENTITLED TO THE STAFF PROVIDED IN
THE STATE BUDGET.
(B) ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL.
THE SECRETARY SHALL PROVIDE THE AUTHORITY WITH THE
PERSONNEL OF THE DEPARTMENT THAT THE SECRETARY CONSIDERS
NECESSARY FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE MAINTENANCE AND OTHER
FUNCTIONS REQUIRED OF THE AUTHORITY TO MEET ITS

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as

In subsection (b) of this section, "Secretary"
is substituted for "chairman of the
Authority"; although, under §4-202(a) of this
subtitle, they are the same person, it would
be in his capacity as Secretary of the
Department that he would assign departmental
personnel to the Authority. Also, the present
reference to obligations "assumed or
undertaken...on behalf of the Department" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the
reference in §4-204(a) of this subtitle to the
fact that the Authority generally acts "on
behalf of the Department".
The only other changes are in style.
4-204. GENERAL JURISDICTION OF AUTHORITY.
(A) IN GENERAL.
ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE DEPARTMENT, THE AUTHORITY
HAS THOSE POWERS AND DUTIES RELATING TO THE SUPERVISION,
FINANCING, CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND
