LAWS OF MARYLAND
TRAFFIC USING ANY VEHICULAR CROSSING SHALL OBEY
ANY LAWFUL SIGN, ORDER, SIGNAL, OR DIRECTION BY VOICE,
SIGN, OR HAND OF ANY AUTHORIZED EMPLOYEE OF THE
VEHICULAR CROSSING. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-1402. The only changes are in style. 21-1405. PEDESTRIANS AND BICYCLES PROHIBITED. PEDESTRIANS AND BICYCLES MAY NOT USE ANY VEHICULAR
CROSSING. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-1403. The only changes are in style. 21-1406. HITCHHIKING AND PICKUP OR DISCHARGE OF
PASSENGERS PROHIBITED. A PERSON MAY NOT HITCHHIKE ON ANY VEHICULAR
CROSSING AND A MOTORIST MAY NOT PICK UP OR DISCHARGE ANY
PERSON ON ANY VEHICULAR CROSSING. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-1404. The only changes are in style. 21-1407. STOPPING, STANDING, OR PARKING PROHIBITED;
EXCEPTIONS. THE DRIVER OF A VEHICLE MAY NOT STOP, STAND, OR PARK
THE VEHICLE ON ANY VEHICULAR CROSSING, EXCEPT: (1)    IF NECESSARY TO AVOID INJURY OR DAMAGE TO ANY
PERSON OR PROPERTY; (2)   IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAWFUL DIRECTION OF AN
AUTHORIZED EMPLOYEE OF THE VEHICULAR CROSSING; (3)    AT A DESIGNATED AREA FOR THE TRANSACTION OF
BUSINESS AT AN ADMINISTRATION BUILDING; OR (4)   IF THE VEHICLE IS DISABLED OR INVOLVED IN AN
ACCIDENT, IN WHICH CASE THE VEHICLE SHALL BE MOVED, IF
POSSIBLE: (I)   TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY; (II)   ADJACENT TO THE EMERGENCY WALKWAY ON A
BRIDGE; OR (III)    AS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY A PATROL
OFFICER.
