SUBTITLE 14. OPERATION OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN TOLL
BRIDGES AND TUNNELS.
21-1401. DEFINITIONS.
(A) IN GENERAL.
IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is standard language
substituted without substantive change for the
introductory paragraph of present Art. 66 1/2,
§11-1401.
See, also, Title 11 and §§ 1-101 and 21-101 of
this article for other applicable definitions.
(B) APPROACH.
"APPROACH" MEANS ANY ROADWAY, OVERHEAD STRUCTURE,
RAMP, BRIDGE, CAUSEWAY, ENTRANCE, AND EXIT PROVIDED AS A
MEANS OF ACCESS TO OR DEPARTURE FROM A VEHICULAR
CROSSING.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-1401(1).
The present reference to vehicular crossings
"operated and maintained ... by the Toll
Facilities {Division}" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the definition of
"vehicular crossing" in subsection (e) of this
section.

(C) BRIDGE.
"BRIDGE" MEANS ANY BRIDGE WITHIN THE JURISDICTION
OF THE MARYLAND TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY.
