In subsection (a) of this section, the phrase
"in a traffic signal or with a traffic sign"
is substituted for "in a traffic sign or
signal" for clarity and to conform to the 1971
change made to the Uniform Vehicle Code
counterpart to this section.
In subsection (b) of this section, the term
"clearly marked stop line" is substituted for
"stop line when one is marked" to conform to
similar usage elsewhere in this article; cf.,
e.g., §§21-202 and 21-707 of this title.
In subsection (d) of this section, the present
sentence referring to the rules for railroad
grade crossings is deleted as unnecessary.

21-204.1. LANE DIRECTION CONTROL SIGNALS.
WHERE LANE DIRECTION CONTROL SIGNALS ARE PLACED OVER
THE INDIVIDUAL LANES OF A HIGHWAY, VEHICULAR TRAFFIC MAY
TRAVEL IN ANY LANE OVER WHICH A GREEN SIGNAL IS SHOWN,
BUT MAY NOT ENTER OR TRAVEL IN ANY LANE OVER WHICH A RED
SIGNAL IS SHOWN.

(A) GENERAL PROHIBITION.
A PERSON MAY NOT PLACE, MAINTAIN, OR DISPLAY ON OR
IN VIEW OF ANY HIGHWAY ANY UNAUTHORIZED SIGN, SIGNAL,
MARKING, OR DEVICE THAT:
(1) PURPORTS TO BE, IS AN IMITATION OF, OR
RESEMBLES A TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE OR A RAILROAD SIGN OR
SIGNAL;
