mail all bills for taxes to which this section relates on
or before the first day of May and [said] THE taxes shall
be due and payable on the first day of June, and
thereafter they shall tear interest at the rate of [one
half of one per cent.] 3/4 OF 1 PERCENT for each month or
fraction thereof that they remain unpaid, and if [said]
THE tax is not paid before the first day of October
following a penalty of five [per cent.] PERCENT on the
amount thereof shall be added.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

(House Bill 326)

AN ACT concerning

Foreclosure Proceeding — Costs

FOR the purpose of providing that the plaintiff in a
proceeding to foreclose the right of redemption of
property purchased at a tax sale is entitled to
reimbursement for certain expenses incurred by him
in the proceeding, including certain amounts
expended for a title search.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 111 of Article 91 - Revenue and
Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

111.

Upon redemption, the plaintiff shall be entitled to
be reimbursed for expenses actually incurred in
[accordance with the provisions of § 110.] A PROCEEDING
TO FORECLOSE THE RIGHT OF REDEMPTION. In addition [to
