TO ALL MATTERS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE DIVISION
FROM ANY AGENCY OR AGENT OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
APPROPRIATED UNDER ANY ACT OF THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED
STATES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976. It shall remain effective
for a period of two years and, at the end of June 30,
1978, and with no further action required by the General
Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further
force and effect.

AN ACT concerning

Washington County — Rent Control

FOR the purpose of permitting the County Commissioners in
Washington County to enact laws or adopt regulations
relating to rent control.

BY adding to

Article 25 — County Commissioners

Section 10G

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 10G be and it is hereby added
to Article 25 — County Commissioners, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 25 — County Commissioners

10G.

IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY
ENACT LAWS OR ADOPT REGULATIONS TO CONTROL THE INCREASE
OF RENT IN THAT COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS ACT
SHALL TAKE EFFECT JULY 1, 1976.
