AN ACT concerning

Wicomico County — Additional Judge

FOR the purpose of altering the number of resident judges
in Wicomico County; and further providing that the
passage of this Act is contingent upon the passage
of [[a certain Constitutional Amendment]] one or
more Constitutional Amendments.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 1-503(a)(22)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 1-503(a) (22) of Article - Courts
and Judicial Proceedings, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

1-503.

(a) In each county in the first seven judicial
circuits there shall be the number of resident judges of
the circuit court set forth below, including the judge or
judges provided for by the Constitution:

(22) Wicomico...........................[1] 2

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
passage of this Act is contingent upon the passage of
H.B. 1048 , S.B. 390 or H.B. 972 of 1976. Should [[that
measure]] all of those measures fail of enactment, the
provisions of this Act are null and void without the need
of further action by the General Assembly.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
