WASHINGTON COUNTY THE HOLDER OF ANY LICENSE ISSUED UNDER
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE IS PERMITTED TO EXERCISE
ALL OF THE PRIVILEGES CONFERRED BY THAT LICENSE ON THE
DAY OF ANY ELECTION IN WASHINGTON COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Education Assistance — Child of Certain National
Guardsmen Killed or Disabled

FOR the purpose of providing higher education assistance
for dependent children of certain National Guardsmen
killed [[or rendered disabled]] while on active
duty[[;]]. [[providing conditions for continuation
of assistance; and providing for rules for
determining dependency and disability.

Article 77A — Higher Education

Section 64 1/2

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 64 1/2 be and it is hereby
added to Article 77A — Higher Education, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 77A — Higher Education

64 1/2.

(A)         A DEPENDENT LEGAL CHILD BY BIRTH OR ADOPTION
OF A MEMBER OF THE MARYLAND NATIONAL GUARD WHO WAS KILLED
OR RENDERED TOTALLY INCAPABLE OF SELF-SUPPORT WHILE ON
ACTIVE DUTY IN SERVICE TO THE STATE, SHALL BE GRANTED
FINANCIAL EDUCATION ASSISTANCE AS A STUDENT AT A
COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN MARYLAND ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO
THIS ARTICLE, A STATE COLLEGE, THE UNIVERSITY OF
MARYLAND, OR MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY.

(B)          A CHILD OF A MEMBER OF THE MARYLAND NATIONAL
