SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That [[Sections 325C through 338B, inclusive,]]
Section 329 of Article 43 — Health, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)
be and [[they are]] it is hereby repealed[[.]] and
reenacted with amendments to read as follows:

[[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Sections 326 through 337, inclusive, be and they are
hereby added to Article 43 — Health, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

326.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS SUBTITLE IS TO PROVIDE FOR THE
REGULATION OF PRACTICAL PLUMBING AND GASFITTING TO
SAFEGUARD THE PUBLIC AGAINST HAZARDS ARISING FROM UNSAFE
OR UNSANITARY PLUMBING AND GASFITTING CONDITIONS.

327.

(A) "PLUMBING" MEANS THE PRACTICE, MATERIALS, AND
FIXTURES USED IN THE INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE,
EXTENSION, ALTERATION, AND REMOVAL OF ALL PIPING,
PLUMBING FIXTURES, PLUMBING APPLIANCES, AND PLUMBING
APPURTENANCES CONNECTED TO OR TO BE CONNECTED TO ANY OF
THE FOLLOWING: SANITARY DRAINAGE OR STORM DRAINAGE
FACILITIES, VENTING SYSTEM AND THE PUBLIC OR PRIVATE
WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS WITHIN OR ADJACENT TO ANY BUILDING,
STRUCTURE, OR CONVEYANCE. THE TERM INCLUDES THE PRACTICE
AND MATERIALS USED IN THE INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE,
EXTENSION, ALTERATION, OR REMOVAL OF STORM WATER,
REFRIGERATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING DRAINS, LIQUID WASTE
OR SEWAGE, AND WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS OF ANY PREMISES, TO
THEIR CONNECTION WITH THE PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM, OR
