14.

(d) (1) An applicant [[who fails an examination
OR REEXAMINATION may apply for reexamination within six
months of the date upon which notice of his prior failure
was sent by the Board, which application may be granted
upon payment of a fee not to exceed [twenty dollars
($20.00). An applicant who fails the reexamination may,
upon application and payment of a fee not to exceed
twenty dollars ($20.00), be admitted to a third
examination] $20. ]], AFTER A FAILURE, MAY TAKE ANOTHER
EXAMINATION BY FILING A PETITION WITH THE BOARD, ON A

FORM ISSUED BY THE BOARD, INDICATING THE APPLICANT'S

DESIRE TO TAKE AGAIN THE EXAMINATION. THE PETITION SHALL
BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A REEXAMINATION FEE NOT TO EXCEED
[[$20]] $25. THE FEE SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED IF THE
APPLICANT DOES NOT TAKE THE EXAMINATION; HOWEVER. THE FEE
RETAINED SHALL BE APPLIED TO AN EXAMINATION SUBSEQUENTLY
TAKEN.

(2)    IF AFTER A FAILURE AN APPLICANT DESIRES
TO REVIEW HIS EXAMINATION BOOKS AND THE MODEL ANSWERS FOR
THE BOARD'S TEST, HE MOST FILE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR A
REVIEW WITHIN 60 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF MAILING TO HIM,
AT HIS LAST KNOWN ADDRESS ON FILE WITH THE BOARD, NOTICE
OF HIS FAILURE. FAILURE TO TIMELY FILE SHALL CONSTITUTE
A WAIVER OF THE RIGHT OF REVIEW PROVIDED BY THIS
SUBSECTION.

(3)    IF AFTER A FAILURE A CANDIDATE DESIRES A
CONFIRMATION OF HIS CORRECT TEST SCORE, HE MAY FILE WITH
THE BOARD A REQUEST, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BOARD'S RULES
AND REGULATIONS AS TO PROCEDURE AND COSTS, FOR THIS
CONFIRMATION. NO OTHER REVIEW OF THE TEST WILL BE
PROVIDED.

(4) IF AFTER A THIRD FAILURE AN APPLICANT
DESIRES A CONFERENCE WITH A MEMBER OF THE BOARD, HE MUST
FILE A PETITION WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF MAILING
TO HIM, AT HIS LAST KNOWN ADDRESS ON FILE WITH THE BOARD,
NOTICE OF HIS THIRD FAILURE, THE BOARD SHALL NOT BE
REQUIRED TO GRANT A CONFERENCE TO ANY APPLICANT WHO DOES

NOT FILE HIS PETITION WITHIN THE TIME LIMITED IN THIS

SUBSECTION.

[[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
Section 14(e) of Article 75 1/2 - Professional Engineers
and Land Surveyors, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed:
