concerning the allocation of certain funds collected
and repealing certain [[restrictions on the
repayment of certain transferred]] provisions
concerning the temporary use and repayment of
certain funds; [[authorizing the Fund to insure
certain persons;]] increasing and clarifying the
commission authorized to be paid by the Fund to a
broker or agency; authorizing the executive director
to reject or cancel certain [[applications for]]
policies of insurance[[; providing an appeal
procedure for persons rejected or cancelled]] upon

certain conditions and subject to certain

limitations; amending a certain appeal procedure in
certain cases; requiring and authorizing the
Executive Director to take certain actions with
respect to certain policyholders; [[exempting the
Fund from the payment of the premium tax;]]
[[repealing a provision allowing a private insurer
to assume certain coverage]] modifying a certain
requirement concerning private companies assuming
coverage of Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund
policyholders; [[repealing a provision requiring a
reserve fund to be established]] creating the
Industry Automobile Insurance Association and
providing for its membership, purpose, duties, and
governance; creating the Board of Directors of the
Association and providing for its composition,

powers, and duties; providing for certain

assessments against the Association and its members
and the method of calculating, collecting, and
paying them; providing a method for the recoupment
of assessments paid by Association members;
providing certain duties for the Insurance
Commissioner; providing a new method of selecting the
Executive Director of the Fund; and generally
relating to the Maryland [[Automoblie]] Automobile
Insurance Fund.
