highways in residential districts of urban areas;

(2)    35 miles per hour on divided highways in
residential sections of urban areas;

(3)    50 miles per hour on ordinary highways
in other locations; [and]

(4)   55 miles per hour on divided highways in
other locations[.];

(5)    55 miles per hour on interstate highways
within this State.

16-105.

(a) A police officer may make an arrest for any of
the following serious offenses when the officer has
probable cause or reasonable grounds to believe that the
person arrested has committed any of those offenses, but
the manner of making the arrest, or the force applied in
making the arrest, shall be as in misdemeanor cases.

(6)  Any offense which caused or contributed to
an accident resulting in injury or death to any
person[.];

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
