RESOLUTION CHARTER

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Hancock to adopt a
new charter for the municipal corporation of
Hancock.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Hancock, a
municipal corporation of the State of Maryland, has
authority, pursuant to Section 13 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, to adopt a new charter for
the municipal corporation of Hancock,

[New Charter of the Town of Hancock of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Washington County, repealed and
added.

Effective Date January 3, 1973]

RESOLUTION OF ENACTMENT
1975 Annexation

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Hancock to enact
the resolution of April 17, 1975, pertaining to the
annexation of tracts contiguous to the City
boundaries, and to specify the effective date of
said resolution.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council resolved to annex the
areas by resolution dated April 17, 1975; and

WHEREAS, the required public notice of public
hearing was published weekly in the Hancock News four
tines from April 23, 1575, and a copy of the resolution
and a plat of the areas to be annexed were posted in the
Municipal Office; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 2, 1975,
at the Municipal Building on High Street in Hancock;
