VETOES

House Bill No. 65 — Farm Truck Registrations

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Registration

FOR the purpose of increasing the permissible maximum
gross weight limit for registering trucks as farm
trucks; increasing the registration fee for certain
farm trucks; and clarifying language.

May 17, 1976.
Honorable John Hanson Briscoe
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 65.

This bill increases the permissible maximum gross
weight limit for the registration of a vehicle as a farm
truck.

Senate Bill 453, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 17, 1976, accomplishes
the same purpose. Senate Bill 453 also creates a new
weight class and registration fee for farm straight
trucks.

Since the purpose of House Bill 65 is accomplished
by the enactment and signing of Senate Bill 453, it is
unnecessary for me to sign House Bill 65.

Sincerely,
Marvin Mandel
Governor

House Bill No. 143 — Disability Credits for
Property Taxes

AN ACT concerning

Property Taxes — Disability Credit

FOR the purpose of authorizing the counties and Baltimore
City to grant a tax credit from real property
