Senate Bill No. 529 - Baltimore County Tax Sales

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County - Tax Sales

FOR the purpose of requiring that in Baltimore County a
certificate of sale state that the rate of
redemption is a certain percent a year or the rate
fixed by the Baltimore County Council; and
clarifying language.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
529.

This bill requires that in Baltimore County, a
certificate of sale state a certain redemption rate.

House Bill 1226, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 17, 1976, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 529.
