Senate Bill No. 349 - State Bonds for Farmer
Disaster Loan Program

AN ACT concerning

Department of Agriculture — Farmer Disaster Loan
Financing Program

FOR the purpose of creating the Farmer Disaster Loan
Financing Program within the Department of
Agriculture; authorizing the Department to make
direct disaster loans to certain farmers;
establishing certain eligibility criteria for the
loans, authorizing the Department to adopt rules and
standards relating to the program; prohibiting
certain false statements and providing penalties
therefor; altering the subtitle; correcting

language; authorizing the creation of a State debt

in the amount of $500,000, the proceeds to be used

to make loans under the provisions of this Act to

certain farmers to allow these farmers to rebuild,

repair, or recover their farms damaged or__destroyed

by a natural disaster; providing for the issuance of

bonds to evidence the State debt; and relating

generally to a Farmer Disaster Loan Financing
Program.
