For many years the muzzle loader hung in retirement
as a decorative piece above the mantle. Today, more and
more hunters have generated a renewed interest in the
muzzle loader and have captured the thrill of hunting as
our forefathers did; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
the Wildlife Administration of the Department of Natural
Resources, during this Bicentennial year, provide a
special big game season for muzzle loading weapons; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to
the Secretary of Natural Resources and the Wildlife
Administrator of the State of Maryland.

A House Joint Resolution concerning
State [[Computer]] Data Systems Security
and Privacy Commission
FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to appoint a
commission of certain individuals to formulate a
program to insure the security and privacy of
personal information stored in State data systems;
and requiring that the commission report to the
Governor and General Assembly within a certain time.
WHEREAS, The right to privacy is a fundamental right
protected by the Constitutions of the United States and
the State of Maryland, and by various federal and state
laws; and
WHEREAS, The nature of modern state government has
reached a degree of complexity and sophistication which
necessitates the maintenance, use, and dissemination of
complete and accurate information [[by computer
systems]]; and
WHEREAS, Extensive personal information on the
citizens of Maryland is collected, maintained, utilized,
and disseminated in a network of [[State computer]] data
[[bank]] systems; and
