SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject
to the special provisions in Section 2 above for the
application of this Act, it shall take effect July 1,
1976.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 126 of Article 77 - Public
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77 — Public Education

126.

(a)    Every public school throughout the State   shall
provide a program of subsidized and/or free feeding
programs for the benefit of children meeting      such
standards as are promulgated and published by the      State
Board of Education. SUCH STANDARDS SHALL REQUIRE   EVERY
LOCAL BOARD OF EDUCATION TO PROVIDE A REDUCED PRICE   LUNCH
PROGRAM.

(b)    There is hereby established a State free
