MASTER PLUMBER. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL
PREVAIL, NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISIONS OF LAW.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

State Universities and Colleges

FOR the purpose of changing the name of the Board of
Trustees of the State Colleges and providing for the
name change of certain State Colleges.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 77A — Higher Education

Section 11(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 11(a) of Article 77A - Higher
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77A — Higher Education

11.

(a) There is a board of trustees of the State
UNIVERSITIES AND colleges which shall exercise direction
and control of the public [colleges of the State: State
Teachers College at Bowie, Coppin State Teachers College
in Baltimore City, State Teachers College at Frostburg,
State Teachers College at Salisbury, State Teachers
College at Towson, the University of Baltimore, and any
other State college offering a four-year course of study
that may be established, with the exception of the
University of Baltimore which is designated as an upper
division academic institution. Each "State teachers
college" shall be officially known and referred to as
"State college."] UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE.
