AN ACT concerning

Real Property - Land Patent Proceedings

FOR the purpose of generally revising the law relating to
land patent proceedings and the issuance of land
patents; repealing certain unnecessary, obsolete, or
inconsistent provisions relating to county
surveyors; modifying and substituting definitions;
establishing new provisions as to the administration
of land patent proceedings, the powers and duties of
the Commissioner of Patents and the Hall of Records
Commission, the application for and execution and
issuance of warrants, the powers and duties of
surveyors, the valuation of land, the filing of
objections by various persons, governmental bodies,
and agencies, the holding of hearings, declaratory
relief, and judicial review, the execution and
issuance of land patents, the effect of issuance of
land patents, and the termination, dismissal, or
abandonment of proceedings; providing for the return
of the purchase price for an invalid patent;
providing certain courts with jurisdiction, powers,
and duties in declaratory judgment proceedings on
land patents; and generally relating to land
patents.
