RELATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE TOWSON STATE COLLEGE
POLICE, INCLUDING STANDARDS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR
DUTIES. HOWEVER, THE STATUS OF ANY PRESENTLY QUALIFIED
CURRENT MEMBER OF THE TOWSON STATE COLLEGE POLICE MAY NOT
BE AFFECTED IN THE FUTURE BY STANDARDS ESTABLISHED AND
PROMULGATED RELATING TO THE MINIMUM HIRING QUALIFICATIONS
OF TOWSON STATE COLLEGE POLICE OFFICERS. TO THE EXTENT
PRACTICAL THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SHALL ESTABLISH AND
PROMULGATE STANDARDS WHICH ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE
STANDARDS FOR THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE. TOWSON STATE
COLLEGE SHALL ESTABLISH RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING
THE OPERATION AND CONDUCT FOR THE TOWSON STATE COLLEGE
POLICE WHICH ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE STANDARDS
ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
(D) MEMBERS OF THE TOWSON STATE COLLEGE POLICE
SHALL OBSERVE AND COMPLY WITH THESE RULES AND
REGULATIONS.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning
Deep Mine Control
FOR the purpose of providing for the licensing and
regulation of deep mine operations and owners;
providing for a bond or other security requirement
for active deep mines conditioned on satisfactory
and adequate sealing of deep mines, prevention and
correction of subsidence damage, and reclamation of
the land surface affected by the deep mining
operation; establishing a permit fee; [[establishing
a certain surcharge for certain amounts of coal
removed from a deep mine;]] establishing a certain
surcharge for certain amounts of coal removed from a
deep mine; allocating funds received pursuant to
this subtitle to special funds; defining terms;
providing certain reporting requirements;
prescribing certain penalties; and relating
generally to regulation of deep mining.
