LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 836

Dorchester, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Kent,

Montgomery, Prince George's, Queen Anne's, Somerset,
Talbot, Washington, Wicomico and Worcester counties.

[(p)] (AA) Except in the case of a contrary
provision in any other section or subsection of this
subtitle, [such a] THIS license shall be issued by the
clerk upon the advice and approval of the board of
license commissioners in any county, except Montgomery
County, in which a license may be issued for the sale of
beer, wine and liquor, to the owner of any hotel which
meets the following minimum provisions:

(1) The hotel building shall be originally
constructed for hotel purposes; be at least three stories
in height; and contain at least one passenger elevator.

(2) The hotel shall contain no less than 100
rooms for the accommodation of the public.

(3)         The hotel shall contain a dining room
with facilities for preparing and serving regular meals
for at least 125 persons at one seating.

(4)         The capital investment in [such] THE
hotel facility [shall be] MAY not BE less than
[$500,000.00] $500,000.

The annual fee for [such a] THIS license [shall be
$2,000.00] IS $2,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County - Alcoholic Beverages
(MC 24-75)
MC 1A-76

FOR the purpose of providing that in Montgomery County
the dining area in a restaurant or hotel holding a
Class B Beer, Wine and Liquor License may include a
cocktail lounge where food need not be served
provided there is no separate outdoor entrance to
that cocktail lounge; removing the restriction on
