The Board of County Commissioners and the Board of Supervisors of Election of Worcester County shall do those things necessary and proper to provide for and hold opposite the words: "For Abolishing County Liquor Dispensaries" and a corresponding square or box to the right of and opposite the words "Against Abolishing County Liquor Dispensaries" so that each voter of the cast in the election are "For Abolishing County Liquor Dispensaries" the provisions of this Act shall become canvass of votes for the referendum]] January 1, 1977, but if a majority of the votes cast in the election are "Against Abolishing County Liquor Dispensaries" the provisions of this Act shall be of no effect and null and SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That subject to the provisions of Section 4 herein and for the sole purpose of providing for the referendum therein required, Approved May 17, 1976.
