LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 866

for [such a] THIS license, and having a bona fide
membership of not less than [one hundred (100) ] 100
persons and dues of not less than [ten dollars ($10.00)]
$10 per annum per adult member, and having facilities for
preparing and serving food on the premises to [said]
THESE members and their guests when accompanied by
[such] THE members, and owning or operating a clubhouse
or on premises principally used for no other purpose and
not directly or indirectly owned or operated as a public
business; (2) any local unit of a nationwide bona fide
nonprofit organization or club composed solely of members
who served in the armed forces of the United States in
any war in which the United States has engaged, having
held a charter from a national veterans' organization for
a period of not less than five [(5)] years prior to the
time of malting application for [such a] THIS license, and
having a bona fide membership of not less than [fifteen
(15) ] 15 persons and dues of not less than [five dollars
($5.00)] $5 per annum per person, which organization or
club operates solely for the use of its own members and
their guests when accompanied by [such] THE members, and
meets in a clubhouse principally used for no other
purpose; and (3) any lodge or chapter of any bona fide
nonprofit and nationwide fraternal or service
organization composed of members duly elected and
initiated in accordance with the rights and customs of
[such] & fraternal or service organization, in existence
and operating in Worcester County for a period of not
less than five [ (5) ] years prior to the time of making
application for [such a ] THIS license, and having a bona
fide membership of not less than [forty (40)] 40 persons
and dues of not less than [five dollars ($5.00) ] $5 per
annum per member, and owning or operating a home or
clubhouse principally for the use of its members and
their guests when accompanied by [such] THE members, and
not directly or indirectly owned or operated as a public
business. Upon payment of [said] THE license fee, any
[such] club, veterans' or fraternal organization may
obtain [such a] THIS license from the board of license
commissioners of Worcester County. [Every such club,
veterans' or fraternal organization shall purchase all
wines and liquors sold by them from the Worcester County
liquor control board dispensaries.]

In Worcester County the owner or owners of any regular
licensed horse racing establishment, holding public
meetings at which pari—mutuel betting is permitted, or
the concessionaire or catering organization at [such] THE
place, whether an individual, association or corporation,
shall without additional residential, voting or locative
qualifications, be entitled to procure a license for the
sale of beer or beer and light wine within the confines
of its racing park in [said] THE county, at the same cost
as that charged for other beer and beer and light wine
licenses in [said] THE county; and shall be entitled to
procure a license for the sale of beer, wine and liquor
