FOR the purpose of permitting Baltimore County to adopt
certain ordinances for regulating the possession or
consumption of any alcoholic beverages on certain
property; and generally relating to the authority of
Baltimore County to adopt ordinances regulating
disorderly intoxication of persons.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 201 (e) be and it is hereby
added to Article 2C — Alcoholism, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)
to read as follows:

Article 2C — Alcoholism

201.

(E) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS
SECTION, BALTIMORE COUNTY IS AUTHORIZED TO ADOPT
ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS SUPPLEMENTING THIS SECTION,
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE AUTHORITY TO REGULATE
POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION OF ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ON
ANY PUBLIC PROPERTY OR PROPERTY USED BY THE PUBLIC IN
GENERAL OR ON ANY HIGHWAY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

Dorchester County — Alcoholic Beverages
(Purchase from Dispensaries)

FOR the purpose of requiring all restaurants, motels and
hotels to purchase all wines and liquors from the
dispensaries of the Dorchester County liquor control
board; and clarifying language.
