CHAPTER 857

AN ACT concerning

Maryland—National Capital Park
and Planning Commission
(Corrections and Up-Dating)

FOR the purpose of correcting certain misspelled or
otherwise inappropriate terms relating to the laws
of the Maryland—National Capital Park and Planning
Commission; repealing certain Acts of the General
Assembly of 1975 which were placed in the local laws
for Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, and
adding the substance of those Acts to Article 66D of
the Annotated Code; permitting the Prince George's
County Executive, with the approval of the Prince
George's County Council, to remove any member of the
Commission from that County; altering the

compensation of members on the Merit Board of the
Commission; changing the date established for the
transmission and approval procedures of the portion
of the Commission's budget relating to Montgomery
County; changing the date for the levy of the
Administrative tax; providing for relocation
payments and advisory services to certain persons,
families, farm operators, business concerns or
nonprofit organizations displaced as a result of
acquisition of private property by condemnation for
purposes specified regarding the Commission;
repealing an obsolete and superfluous provision
relating to the Commission's debt limitations;
providing for appeals from decisions granting
special exceptions to the Circuit Court for that
county; providing generally for procedures relating
to appeals; permitting Prince George's County to
have the same requirements as Montgomery County
concerning the Commission's review of building
permits under the Commission's laws; and generally
relating to the Maryland—National Capital Park and
Planning Commission.

Chapters 460, 480, 497, 499, 756, 767, and 793 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1975
