the sum raised by Loyola College, agreeably to the other
provisions of this Act. If such satisfactory evidence of

the raising of a sum up to One Million Eight Hundred

Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,850,000) as an equal and
matching fund for this project is not presented to the
Board of Public Works on or before June 1, 1978, no funds
under the provisions of this Act shall thereafter be paid
over to or expended for the purpose of the construction
of a science center on the campus of Loyola College.

[[(4)]] (5) This Act shall take effect June 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Property Tax Assessment Appeal Boards — Term
of Members

FOR the purpose of changing the term of office of members
of property tax assessment appeal boards; and
generally relating to terms of that office.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

Section 248(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 248(b) of Article 81 - Revenue and
Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

248.

(b) Each member shall be appointed for a term of
[three] FIVE years [so arranged that the term of office
of one member shall expire on June 1 of each year, except
that initially one member of each new property tax
assessment appeal board hereby created shall he appointed
to a term which expires June 1, 1974, and one member
