observe or fails to observe the provisions of this
section or any of the regulations promulgated hereunder.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Deferred Compensation Plan - Clerks of the Courts,
Registers of Wills, and Contractual Employees

FOR the purpose of allowing Clerks of the Courts,
Registers of Wills and their employees and
Contractual Employees to be eligible for
participation in the Deferred Compensation Plan of
the State of Maryland and generally relating to the
Deferred Compensation Plan.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 73B — Pensions

Section 66 (b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1970 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 66(b) of Article 73B - Pensions,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 73B - Pensions

66.

(b) The term "state employees," as used in this
subtitle means those officers and employees of the State
of Maryland who are paid through the Central Payroll
Bureau or are authorized to be paid through the Central
Payroll Bureau pursuant to Section 38A of Article 64A, as
added by Chapter 255 of the Acts of 1973. It includes
members of the General Assembly, judges of the Court of
Appeals, the Court of Special Appeals, the various
