SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 19(b) of Article 59A - Mental
Retardation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 59A — Mental Retardation

19.

(b) In addition to the foregoing facilities, other
facilities may be brought within the jurisdiction of the
Administration as they are built, transferred to or
leased by the Administration. A RESIDENTIAL FACILITY
BROUGHT WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE ADMINISTRATION IN
THIS MANNER MAY NOT EXCEED A CAPACITY OF 500 RESIDENTS.

[[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 19(c) be and it is hereby added to Article 59A —
Mental Retardation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1972 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) to read as
follows:

19.

(C) ALL RENOVATIONS TO EXISTING FACILITIES SHALL
REDUCE THEIR CAPACITY TO NOT MORE THAN 500 RESIDENTS.]]

SECTION [[3]] 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1976.
