(1972 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section [[32(c)]] 33A be and it is
hereby added to Article 56 — Licenses, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

[[32.

(C) A PERSON OR CORPORATION WHO FOR CONSIDERATION
ACTS AS THE PROMOTER OF ANY SHOW WHEREIN GOODS, CHATTELS,
WARES OR MERCHANDISE ARE DISPLAYED FOR SALE SHALL OBTAIN
A LICENSE AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 33 OF THIS ARTICLE. ANY
EXHIBITOR IN A SHOW LICENSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS
PARAGRAPH IS EXEMPT FROM THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 32
AND 33 OF THIS ARTICLE. THE LICENSE FEE TO A PROMOTER
SHALL BE BASED ON THE VALUE OF ALL MERCHANDISE, AT COST,
AT HIS HIGHEST VALUED SHOW. A PROMOTER MAY NOT BE
REQUIRED TO SPECIFY THE LOCATION OF ANY SHOW ON ANY
LICENSE APPLICATION AND MAY CONDUCT ANY NUMBER OF SHOWS
IN ANY NUMBER OF PLACES WITHIN THIS STATE.]]

33A.

(A)(1) IN THIS SECTION THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE
THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(2) "PROMOTER" MEANS A PERSON WHO FOR

CONSIDERATION RENTS OR LEASES SPACE TEMPORARILY TO AN

EXHIBITOR FOR THE DISPLAY [[OR]] AND SALE OF GOODS,

WARES, CHATTELS, OR MERCHANDISE AT A SHOW.

(3) "EXHIBITOR" MEANS A PERSON WHO FOR
CONSIDERATION RENTS OR LEASES SPACE TEMPORARILY FROM A
PROMOTER FOR THE DISPLAY [[OR]] AND SALE OF GOODS. WARES,
CHATTELS. OR MERCHANDISE AT A SHOW.

(4) "SHOW" MEANS A FLEA MARKET, ANTIQUE

SHOW, COIN SHOW, GUN SHOW, STAMP SHOW, OR SHOW OF A

TEMPORARY NATURE.

(B) AN EXHIBITOR AT A SHOW WHO HAS A VALID

TRADERS' LICENSE FOR A STORE OR FIXED PLACE OF BUSINESS
