Washington Suburban Sanitary District
(Removing Requirements)

FOR the purpose of eliminating certain Washington
Suburban Sanitary District requirements in a certain
county which is supplied with water by the District;
and clarifying language,
By repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

District

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 15-4 of the Code of the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District (1969 Edition, as amended),
being also Section 86—15—4 of the Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County being Article 16 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1972 Edition and 1974 Supplement, as
amended), being also Section 83—146 of the Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County being Article 17 of the
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition and 1967
Supplement, as amended) be and they are hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
The Coda of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District
15-4. (86-15-4 and 83-146)
[(a)] Whenever [and wherever] the water systems of
[the] Howard County [Metropolitan Commission] are
supplied with water from systems owned and operated by
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, then [and in
such event] the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
[is authorized and empowered to] MAY formulate [and
prescribe such] rules and regulations [governing
connections to the water systems of the Howard County
Metropolitan Commission which it deems necessary and
desirable, including rules and regulations for the
maintenance, operation and use of said system.]
